Since 1982, New Life Worship Center has been making a difference in their community and beyond through sharing the “life-changing message of Jesus Christ” and acts of service.

With two Georgia campuses, one in Hephzibah and the other in Martinez, led by Pastors Claude and Regina Harris and Campus Leaders Claude Harris, Jr., Danielle Harris, and Donald Walker, the church “ministers to the total man – spirit, soul and body – by reaching humanity inside and outside the local sanctuary” in a real and relevant way.

During the week, congregants gather for worship and to hear inspirational messages that excite, challenge and cause change. They leave services excited, knowing they are equipped with God’s word to help them and others through life, and they leave services with a challenge to better reflect Christ in their daily lives. In places they may fall short, congregants are encouraged to make a change and be all God has purposed them to be.

Impacting the Community

New Life Worship Center has ministries and, throughout the week, events and group meetings focused on “strengthening our community.” There is something for everyone at every stage of life they are in.

Youth group meetings enrich the lives of kids and teenagers through Bible studies, fellowship, fun outings, and more. The Singles Ministry, which is for unmarried, divorced, or widowed individuals, “provides a comfortable environment for singles to strengthen their relationships with the Lord and with others through Bible studies, fellowships, and service projects.” Additional community outreach includes marriage enrichment sessions and senior activities for those ages 55 and older.

The church’s Seeds of Wisdom Investment Club hosts seminars and workshops to equip individuals and families with the tools to better manage finances. The Home and Foreign Missions team supports charities that give aid to others in the U.S. and internationally, such as the Christian Haitian Ministries. Remembering those who are incarcerated, the church spreads the gospel in the jail and prison system through the Another Chance Ministry.

Through those outreach efforts and others, the church is “changing generations for Christ” and making a positive impact in their community and even internationally.

An event for the family

On May 20, 2017, at 5 pm, the church is hosting The Watercolors of Spring Fashion Show at the south campus, 3550 Morgan Road, Hephzibah, Ga, and is inviting the community to the event, which is raising funds to support the work they are doing in south Augusta and beyond. The fashion show will consist of the latest trends for kids, men, and women. There will be a silent auction, as well.

Additionally, the event will include live entertainment, and the diverse group models include kids and adults as well as some of the city’s local leaders.

Event tickets are $20 and can be purchased at newlife-worshipcenter.org or by calling the church office at 706.796.7880. Admission for kids ages 12 and younger is free. Learn more about New Life Worship Center here.
